Ammar Campa-Najjar is running to represent California’s 50th Congressional District. In 2012, Ammar served as Deputy Regional Field Director for President Obama’s reelection campaign, where he helped oversee Southern California’s grassroots operations from a headquarters in San Diego. He then went on to work for the White House, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Labor, and start his own company, ACN Strategies, a small business that helps other small businesses, and nonprofits with small budgets, compete against their larger counterparts. During his time at HUD, Ammar led the Office of Public Affairs for the Employment and Training Administration (ETA). He was instrumental in promoting a nationwide effort to double and diversify the number of Registered Apprenticeships in America that pays workers an average of $70,000 a year. In 2018, Ammar came within two points of unseating Rep. Duncan Hunter. Undeterred, he immediately announced he’d run again and is working tirelessly to represent the people of California’s 50th Congressional District in Washington DC.
