ANN KIRKPATRICK

COMMITTED TO WORKING FOR YOU

Ann Kirkpatrick was born and raised in rural Arizona and started her career in the Pima County Attorney’s office and later went on to serve as Deputy Pima County Attorney from 1981 to 1984. In 2004, Kirkpatrick was elected to the Arizona state legislature and worked alongside Governor Janet Napolitano to improve Arizona’s K-12 public schools. Her commitment to public service motivated her to run for Congress and was elected to serve her first term in 2008. Kirkpatrick has dedicated her career to improving the lives for Arizona families. She worked with Democrats and Republicans to pass bills to help Arizona’s veterans and Native American tribes. Most notably, Kirkpatrick worked on bipartisan legislation to enact a historic water settlement in Arizona that remains vital to the state’s urban, rural and tribal communities. Kirkpatrick sits on the Agriculture and Appropriations Committee, as well as three subcommittees under Appropriations: Defense, Energy and Water and Financial Services. Kirkpatrick and her husband, Roger, live in the Casas Adobes neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona.
