CHC BOLD PAC Announces New Endorsements for 2024




Washington, D.C. - As a part of its commitment to expanding Latino representation in both the U.S. House and Senate, today CHC BOLD PAC is endorsing two candidates in key districts – Tim Sanchez in CA-12 (22.4% Latino population) and Kim Nguyen in CA-45 (31.4% Latino population). CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez released the following statement on these endorsements:

“We are thrilled to endorse these talented candidates who have demonstrated their commitment to a better and more equitable future for working Americans, and have the experience to lead,” said Chairwoman Linda Sánchez.

“Tim Sanchez is an Oakland native, a veteran and small business owner who, as the proud son of a Puerto Rican mother and a Mexican-American father, understands that diversity and hard work are our nation’s greatest strengths. We know Tim will be a partner and leading voice in Congress on the issues that matter most to working Americans. CHC BOLD PAC is proud to endorse Tim, who understands what it means to serve his country and is now ready to serve his home state of California in Congress,” Sánchez added.

“The daughter of a Vietnamese refugee and a Mexican immigrant and the first in her family to graduate high school and college, Kim Nguyen has lived through some of the same challenges working families in Southern California face every day. While Republicans continue to fail working families in California, Kim will be the leader they deserve in Congress. She will fight to strengthen our democracy, lower costs for all working families, and keep our communities safe from gun violence. Kim could be the first Asian-Latina in Congress and CHC BOLD PAC is proud to support her,” said Sánchez.

ABOUT TIM SANCHEZ (CA-12)

Born and raised in Oakland by a Puerto Rican mother and a Mexican-American father, Tim Sanchez was surrounded by a large family deeply ingrained in the East Bay community. Being a teen parent, he figured out early in life how to face challenges head on, learning lessons that have served him well in a distinguished career as an entrepreneur, small business owner, active duty service member, and financial services professional. Tim understands firsthand the issues that affect working families in his district, and he is prepared to serve California's 12th congressional district through his strong leadership. 

ABOUT KIM NGUYEN (CA-45)

The daughter of a Vietnamese refugee and a Mexican immigrant, Kim Bernice Nguyen was the first in her family to graduate high school and college. At just 25, she won a historic election as the youngest person and first Latina ever elected to the Garden Grove City Council. Kim is a pioneer on women's and healthcare issues who has stood up to harassment, fought for equality and justice across Southern California, and fought to give immigrants like her parents the respect and opportunity to succeed.

 BOLD PAC is the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) and is dedicated to increasing diversity in the House and Senate by getting more Latinos and Latinas elected. These Members-elect, alongside the current Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, will fight to deliver for all American families. “Latinos made history on Tuesday. Nellie Pou (NJ-09) will be the first Latina to represent New Jersey at the federal level. Emily Randall (WA-06) will be the first Queer Latina elected to Congress. Pablo José Hernández Rivera will be the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico.
