CHC BOLD PAC Endorses Rep. Rob Menendez for Re-Election in New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District

Washington D.C. - As part of its commitment to defending and expanding Latino representation in Congress, today CHC BOLD PAC endorses Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election to New Jersey’s 8th District. CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez released the following statement on this endorsement:

“As the only Latino currently representing New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Rob Menendez has fought tirelessly for the Latino community. He is a proven leader on the issues that matter most to our community, like making life more affordable, lowering prescription drug prices and ensuring that health care remains affordable and accessible, protecting reproductive freedom and much more,” said CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez. “In Congress, Rob has worked to protect and expand opportunities for all workers. As a member of the Labor Caucus, he introduced the Working Families Task Force Act, which will bring together officials from across the federal government to work on solutions for issues impacting all working families, including affordable access to child care and wage growth. Throughout his years of public service, Rob has fought hard to improve the lives of all Latinas and Latinos.”

“As we kickoff another election cycle, BOLD PAC is proud to endorse Rob for re-election in New Jersey’s 8th congressional district because he is a champion for Latinos in New Jersey and across the country. Over half the residents in the 8th district are Latinos (53%) and we know that Latino voters will remain central for decades to come. Soon, those in New Jersey will again choose who will represent them in Congress, and BOLD PAC stands with Rob to ensure that the large Latino population across the nation, and especially in New Jersey, is well represented in Congress.”

Rep. Pete Aguilar (CA-33), Democratic Caucus Chair and CHC BOLD PAC Member

“Rob’s hard work and fierce advocacy have earned him the respect of his colleagues. His belief in the American Dream, his commitment to New Jersey, and his deep knowledge of the important issues for working families make him an extraordinary Member of Congress,” said Chair of the House Democratic Caucus and CHC BOLD PAC Member Pete Aguilar. “Rob is uniquely positioned to defend working families against Extreme MAGA Republicans’ constant attacks on health care, immigration, and our basic rights. He is a strong voice and staunch advocate for the people of New Jersey and that’s why I’m proud to support him in his reelection.”

Rep. Nanette D. Barragán (CA-44), CHC Chairwoman and CHC BOLD PAC Member:

“Rob is a champion for our Latino community and a dedicated public servant who will deliver solutions for all the working families of New Jersey. Rob puts people before politics and will work to protect reproductive rights and access to affordable health care. Rob is a co-chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Immigration Task Force and I’ve been proud to fight side by side with Rob on one of the most critical issues facing our community,” said CHC Chairwoman and CHC BOLD PAC Member Rep. Nanette D. Barragán. “As a member of the House Pro-Choice Caucus, he cosponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would enshrine the principles of Roe v. Wade into law and protect the rights of women all over the country. He will be a leader who is not afraid to stand up to Republicans and who will advocate for a high quality of life for all. I proudly support his re-election to New Jersey’s 8th District.”

Rep. Ritchie Torres (NY-15), CHC BOLD PAC Board Member:

“I’m thrilled to stand with Rob and support his re-election to New Jersey’s 8th District. In Congress, we have stood side by side to protect and expand opportunities for New Jerseyans and New Yorkers. Rob has advocated to improve transportation and infrastructure across New Jersey’s 8th District, including through the Gateway Program – the nation’s largest critical infrastructure project, which recently received $6.9 billion from the U.S. Department of Transportation, because he knows how much working families rely on quality transportation,” said CHC BOLD PAC Member Rep. Ritchie Torres. “Rob will fight and deliver for everyday families in New Jersey and make sure everyone has a voice in government. That’s why I’m proud to continue standing alongside him in Congress.”
