HEALTHCARE

If you want to connect with the Latino community – and persuade and mobilize Latino voters – you need to avoid a literal translation that misses the context and create unique content. We've got you covered.

When communicating about healthcare with Latinos, it’s important to avoid English-to-Spanish translation mistakes that arise from using general translation tools found online. There are specific healthcare terms that do not offer immediate translations into Spanish. For example, the term “out-of-pocket costs” has no immediate translation, so you should describe it as “costos médicos extras,” que tendrán que ser pagados por el beneficiario.
