Greg is native Texan, son of Mexican immigrants, and a movement organizer who has supported working families from San Antonio to Hays County to East Austin. Greg’s passion for helping others fuels the fire behind his unwavering dedication for passing policies that uphold the values of democracy for not only his constituents but the American people. 

A CHAMPION FOR TEXAS

 Greg continues to honor his pledge to serve and ensure our government agencies expand civil rights, immigration reform, restore abortion rights and voting rights. Greg currently serves as the Whip of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and on the Committee on Agriculture. Greg has been able to support immigrant reform by leading much of the statewide campaign against Texas Senate Bill 4—the infamous “Show Me Your Papers” law. He has a proven track record of successfully fighting for working Texans on issues of labor rights, reproductive justice, protecting families from being separated, and more.
