MARIE GLUESENKAMP PEREZ

A CHAMPION FOR WASHINGTON

Marie’s love for Washington runs deep in her family roots. Marie’s great great grandpa Bert Gilmore helped build the Washington State Capitol building as the quarry foreman and her grandmother Carol Gilmore was born in a logging camp in Sappho, Washington. Her own parents met at Western Washington University after her father immigrated from Mexico. Marie herself graduated from Reed College and is now owner of an auto-repair shop alongside her husband Dean. As a recipient of a Small Business Administration loan, Marie understands the issues affecting small business owners and the urgency to cut through red tape and streamline better services. In Congress, Marie is fighting to make progress on the issues facing Southwest Washingtonians, defend democracy, and level the playing field for working families like hers. She serves on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Small Business Committee in the 118th Congress.
