Desiree Tims is running for Congress to fight for economic opportunities for the middle-class and expand access to quality and afordable healthcare.

Desiree Tims was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Xavier University, and most recently graduated from Georgetown Law, becoming the first person in her family to graduate from a four year college.Tims volunteered on President Obama’s 2008 in Southwest Ohio. Later, that experience would land her in The White House during President Barack Obama’s first presidential term. Following her time at The White House, Desiree began working on Capitol Hill for United States senators Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York). She was also elected to serve as President of the Senate Black Legislative Staff Caucus. Tims is dedicated to standing up for working families and establishing economic opportunities.
